Matt Bram

LPCS, LCAS, MAC, Psychologist

Matt has been in the field of mental health and addictions treatment for over 23 years. Supporting individuals and families in their recovery from stuck patterns and addiction, trauma, emotional health challenges, and relationship struggles has been a primary cause of his life, only second to raising his two children.

He is credentialed as a Licensed Professional Counselor Supervisor, Licensed Clinical Addiction Specialist, Master Addictions Counselor and is currently working on his Doctorate in Psychology.

Over the course of his career he has worked as a therapist in the full continuum of recovery settings: dual inpatient treatment, intensive outpatient, outpatient community mental health, long-term residential (dual), and currently private practice in Asheville and Hendersonville, NC.

Matt is Level III trained in Gottman Method Couples Therapy, certified in EMDR Level II (trauma focused therapy), trained in Motivational Interviewing, Adlerian Therapy, Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, the Enhanced Recovery Model, Impact Therapy, Perceptual Adjustment Therapy, Dialectical Behavioral Therapy, the Neuroscience of Addiction, and Mindfulness Based Approach.

Like many therapists and coaches, Matt draws from his own life history and recovery journey, growing up in a family with addiction. After his father passed he battled and recovered from severe depression, codependency, along with substance abuse in his 20s. He describes that therapy, coaching, and medication all were important aspects of his healing.

He uses holistic therapy techniques to empower men and women who struggle with addiction, past trauma, and relationships to live a happy, courageous life by releasing the addictive patterns that keep them stuck and discovering their true purpose.
